Eureka to Build New Railway Depot at Old Freight Site
Wet was started last Thursday on the Eureka Nevada Railway combination depot planned on the site of the old freight depot being torn down. F A Delany of Palisade oversees on the ground for use by the time the old depot is torn down. Construction will not interfere with current freight service, merchants have stocked up, and coal machinery and supplies for mines will continue to be shipped through Eureka. The old depot, built around 1874, reflects Eureka's boom era and the new depot signals renewed prosperity.

Influenza Reports in Eureka Prompt Call for Doctoring Early
Dr. W H Brennen, county health officer, reports 15 to 16 cases of Spanish influenza in Eureka with possible unreported instances. Nome cases noted except four or five at Morrison Hay. The Eureka Distinction Mining Company held its first stockholders meeting in Eureka on Tuesday evening and elected a board of directors for the coming year: Ben Repetto, John Repetto, and J. Indian Family Stricken by Smallpox Near Goodfellow Ranch

Ruby Hill Mine Advances With Dewatering Plan and Tracks
The Ruby Hill mine in Nevada advances a comprehensive equipment plan. Locan shaft dewatering includes two 1500 gallon bailers and two sinking pumps to lower water, with 900 feet of ladders planned and 500 more feet to be sunk.
