The Minnesota, largest Pacific vessel, reached San Francisco from Norfolk bound for Seattle then Beattle to join the Great Northern Railway fleet. On January 6 the Southern Pacific will operate a fast Ogden to San Francisco train named the Ogden Limited. Equipment includes a smoking room for men with sixteen chairs a buffet three card tables a writing desk and a parlor for ladies with an equal number of chairs and a bookcase. The train is touted as a model in every respect.
A $10,000,000 mortgage is placed by Southern Pacific Company to Guaranty Trust Company of New York on the Ogden Luein cut-off for payment. Dated Oct 1, 1904, the total mileage is 102.9 miles.
