The Eureka County Grand Jury, impaneled by District Court Judge Peter Green, was charged to examine county road crossing maintenance and other statutory duties. The panel includes Marshall Rich as foreman and 17 members. Criminal cases listed feature Bridgeman, Lawser, Isaacs, Schaefer, and Sasserno, with Bridgeman manslaughter bill later ignored. Also, P Paroni sues William Blair for 489.80 in a Nye County district court action.

Dispatch reports Southern Pacific contracts from Wabuska to Bodie and Bridgeport aim to cut V&T traffic to Aurora Bodie Bridgeport and other Southern Esmeralda and Mono County camps. An auto stage line between Washuska and Mono County points is planned. Freight rates will be about 76 cents per 100 pounds lower than those now in force.
