In San Francisco Dec 6 stockholders of the Mexican Mining Company ousted the current management replacing trustees and electing H H L Slosson Jr W J Ralston John Landers G E Arrowamith and Herman Zadig. New board organized with Slosson as president and Symmes as superintendent. They demand Zadig render accounts and refund profits from powder sales, vowing a businessmen led policy.
Esmeralda County files appeal in a tax suit after Judge Somers ruled the $500 per claim mine tax unconstitutional. The Consolidated Mines of Goldfield faced loss of tax revenue, and the county seeks Supreme Court review to recover funds and settle the law’s validity.

The Golconda Cattle Company, led by I N Kent and with Congressman William Kent a large shareholder, faces a federal indictment for fencing about 30000 acres of Government land and using it for cattle ranging. Trial set for Tuesday with Jennery and two civil actions to follow. plea entered not guilty. The Ely Expositor notes 1000 more workers to be hired in Ely next year.
