James B Mc Namara and his brother John J McNamara plead guilty to murder and dynamiting at Llewellyn Iron Works in Los Angeles. The confessions tie the pair to the Times explosion that killed 21 on October 1, 1910. Sentences expected December 5 with possible long terms.

A fire at the Florence Goldfield mining mill destroyed the mill machinery and out-buildings with losses near 100000 and no insurance believed. Underground workers escaped as oil refinery explosion caused the blaze and no water was available. In Oakland California Frank Saville Smith, a former Manhattan lease, was killed in a car crash while showing off near telegraph poles.
