A saloon in Cobre Nevada was robbed of cash and a bartender killed as two masked desperadoes entered by rear and front doors last Wednesday night. One robber died in a gunfight with pursuing posse members while the other escaped into the hills. a later pursuit yielded a recovered body, revolver, and trail of silver and gold. The incident sparked a 16 hour hunt led by Sheriff Clark with local Indian trackers, narrowing to a hill camp near Ball Creek.
