Nevada Copper and Valley Smelting Withdraw Insurance Objections

General Manager Jenkins reports Nevada Consolidated Copper and Valley Smelting and Milling Ely have withdrawn objections to the new insurance law and now operate under its provisions. The law took effect at midnight Monday. Secretary Mullin travels to Ely to aid implementation in the large plants. The Southern Pacific has not yet joined, but is expected to support the law as benefits become clear.

Water rates in Tonopah upheld by Public Service Commission

The commission after rehearing upheld the prior water rate order for Tonopah, finding the previous ruling fair to both residents and the water company.
