Commissioners Build Bridge Over Dangerous Road Crossing
The Board of County Commissioners has completed a 20 foot bridge across the slough on the Eureka and Palisade road about seven miles north of town. Water flow has hindered travel and drawn complaints about crossing safety for teams and automobiles. A second bridge at Devil's Gate, washed out in a four year flood, is planned to improve crossing conditions for area traffic.
