Hawthorne man held on information charging assault with intent

Frank Heller of Hawthorne is charged with assault with intent to kill over the death of his wife from rifle wounds. She died in a Reno hospital recently. His case was scheduled to come up in Hawthorne on April 14. The Governor appointed a new Nevada Bank Commissioners board: H. C. Clapp, Maurice Scheeline, and Thomas Salter. one vacancy remains.

Enlarged Homestead Act Extends Rights to Final Proof Holders

Congressional action in the closing days of the Sixty third Congress expands the Homestead Act. It grants receivers final receipt holders the same privileges as original homesteaders on non mineral lands, allowing entry on contiguous lands up to 320 acres. Hoboes Enter Elko Ask for Food Then Ordered East
