St. Petersburg reports a general strike to halt all industry with aims to force czarist leaders to meet. Prince Hikoff requested a plan to connect the empire with the czar to discuss the strike amid growing unrest.
Prince Utah Oct 25 Word reaches today that the Indians are in an ugly mood on the Utah reservation A drunken Ute attempted to shoot up the new town of Nyton He aimed at W T Muse who promptly shot the Indian through the heart A number of young bucks rushed toward the town but were headed off by a cavalry troop from Fort Doehenne Muse was guarded by soldiers and handed to the sheriff at Heber City.
Jerry Simpson was buried the afternoon with Masonite rites as Congressman Victor Murdock delivered the funeral oration. The service honored Simpson’s public life and service. Local attendees recalled his work and commitment to the community.
