One of Southern Oregon’s largest timber deals closed this morning as attorney L G Bean finalizes the sale of the Quartz Creek tract the 174 Timber lands on the McKenzie river about fifty miles east of Eugene. About 10 000 acres at roughly 25 an acre total near a quarter of a million dollars transfers to two Portland capitalists with logging to follow, likely bringing a railroad up the McKenzie. The money is held by First National Bank of Eugene and deeds must be completed first.
