Strange Civil War Era Coin Earns Attention

A 1863 dated coin bearing the motto Millions for the contractors, but not one cent for the widows was received by George A. Lee. The piece appears restricted, unseen by many who examined it. It came with a Detroit postmark letter signed Howard Henzler and claimed to be a token from the donor’s late Raleigh, D. C. benefactor.
