Return to Asylum After Escape From State Hospital
Ira Shelley aged about 22 who had been committed to the state insane asylum from this county escaped and returned home to Pleasant Hill. Authorities viewed his insanity as not needing confinement but he later appeared in Fugene where complaints arose. An attendant from the asylum will bring him back to confinement on the night train.
