Fountain Unveiled by League in Lane County War Memorial
The public fountain on the courthouse lawn in Eugene was dedicated by the Women's Republican Patriotic League. Rain cleared to sunny skies as Mayor Chrisman and many civic groups attended. Names of Lane County volunteers from the Philippines conflict are carved on the fountain, which cost over 700 dollars and stands about seven by two by six feet with a central iron centerpiece for an electric light.
