Bees Build Long Nest In Dr Biddle’s Flue On Olive Street

Daily Gward reports a large swarm of bees has settled in an old unused flue at Dr UG Biddle's residence on Olive Street between Fifth and Sixth. The flue has been idle for eleven years, and bees were found after discovering bees entering through wallpaper cracks. A bee expert confirmed the hive may have existed for years. Mrs and Mrs Biddle noticed bees near fruit blossoms, misattributing them to flowers. Dr Biddle widened the crack and placed a box with artificial honeycomb, hoping to move the hive to a roof hive and relocate the bees to a more convenient honey factory.
