New Church Organized Sunday at Fairmount
A Christian church was organized Sunday afternoon in Fairmount after a Bible school in Dempster's hall. About thirty workers from Eugene Christian church joined locals to form the church with H T Sutton J M Morris as elders and J C Eads H H Ball David Miles as deacons and Mrs Haggard Mrs Sweeney as deaconesses, Jerome Sweeney as clerk. Front Morris to preach. The centennial offering will fund a lot and church home.

Norfolk May 4. Federal Judge Edmund Waddell Jr of the US district court denied Namyo Bessho a naturalization petition. The ruling held the 1894 act granting citizenship to certain alien service members cannot repeal the 1875 statute by implication and noted no direct terms of appeal. Bessho plans to appeal.
