An offer from Gunn and Gunn artists promises crayon bust portraits at a fraction of price. Chicago portraitist Prof W E Gunn will work in the city for a limited time with studio space in a dry goods department. Buy $1 of goods and receive a coupon to obtain a bust portrait for 78 cents, a value claimed at $3.00, with work to be done locally.
The Mazamas cancel their Three Sisters ascent because of persistent bad weather and insufficient group size. With roads nearly impassable in places, many members joined a California party, leaving Eugene residents disappointed at the failure of the planned outing.
