Mrs Fred Jackson of Lake Creek was brought to the hospital Monday for a slight operation and is recovering nicely. Miss Bertha Widener visited east of Junction City at Chas Bailey’s home last weekend. Bailey accompanied her home and stayed Monday. Horseflesh trades dominate local activity with several sales: Henry Roberta sold a two year old for 150 dollars, William Lynch sold a three year old for 250 dollars, and W E Grimes sold a team of colts to R F Myers for a handsome sum. All farmers’ telephone lines into town from the south are now on a single pole system, with lines to cross the railroad via Pacific Telephone Company, reducing street pole clutter.
