Last Saturday Encampment echoed with Republican activity as Senator C. D. Clark A. D. Kelley and George E. Brimmer spoke to a crowd at City Hall. Ira B. Casteel opened remarks, followed by Kelley and Clark on Republican policy. Lemon brothers provided music and a midnight supper was served. Democrats failed to appear, prompting disappointment among attendees.

The second Lyceum Course program was held at the city hall in Encampment last Monday night featuring the American quartet and Clayton Conrad the cartoonist. The show drew a splendid house and was enjoyed to its utmost. After the performance the musicians led a couple hours of dancing with unexcelled music.

Big Sheep Deal Closed In Rawlins Exchange
Fred Richards of Medicine Bow with Thomas Anda and Chas Anda of Casper closed a major deal in Rawlins, transferring the large Anda Brothers sheep holdings to Richards Bros. The purchase marks one of the region's biggest sheep transactions, with the Richards holdings among the county’s largest.

Fish Fry Planted in Encampment Streams
Businessmen of Encampment received 106000 fish fry from the Saratoga government hatchery and planted them in local streams. The fry measure one to three inches and will take about three years to reach lawful size.

First Hog Shipment From Encampment Valley
Archie Anderson sent 130 hogs to Denver markets this week averaging about 150 pounds. Hogs fed on alfalfa then field peas with no grain for three weeks. Anderson believes field peas can propel Encampment Valley into a prominent hog region and plans forty acres next year, some on dry land, accompanying the shipment to Denver. Other locals mentioned include Amos Wilcox, J. W. Winner, James A. Blackhall, Claud Thompson, and the Big Creek ranch with cattle shipments.
