Herb Schneider Dead Cheyenne Labor Leader
Herb Schneider former manager of the Quality Print Shop and Labor Journal in Cheyenne died last Saturday at St. John's hospital after stomach trouble surgery. He was a well known labor circles figure and his death is seen as a loss to Cheyenne and the state. Remains shipped to Merton Wisconsin for burial.

He will return to Iowa this week to close up his business and then come back to Encampment to locate on a homestead in Beaver Creek country. Eastern Star visit honors Grand Worthy Matron Mrs Dickinson
Mrs Clara Dickinson of Lander, Grand Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, paid the Encampment lodge a visit last Friday night. After a work review and her address an elaborate spread was served to a large congregation. Dickinson received a silver meat fork engraved Encampment as a token. Several out of town visitors attended.

Public Schools Close After Picnic Day in Encampment
Encampment public schools closed last Thursday with students, from small children to older ones, enjoying a Friday picnic chaperoned by teachers. Younger pupils spent the day at Riverside Park while the larger groups visited the North Fork. They returned home in the evening tired but content.
