In Jackson's Hole the town elected a full slate of women as mayor and four council members. The move marks the first time the city is governed entirely by women, reflecting a shift from its rough past to a more orderly era with schools, churches, and law enforcement in place.
The forest service begins its second year of advertising national forest attractions in Wyoming and will issue a weekly fishing bulletin from May 20. It will be the most complete Wyoming fishing bulletin yet, drawing on ranger reports to cover water conditions stream reports current catches and effective trout flies. Clarence Gillespie a 12 year old adopted son of Mr and Mrs Roy Gillespie of Saratoga met instant death yesterday at about 11 oclock by shooting himself through the head with a .22 revolver. No witnesses. likely deliberate death though accident possible. Boy had been acting strangely, had been missing since Monday, found by Ed McAnulty and died before help.
