Conditions Favor Stockmen Douglas Reports Snow Pastures
Medicine Bow national forest supervisor Lyon H. Douglas returned from a four night inspection tour through the forest noting four feet of snow at about 9 000 feet and six feet at elevations above 10 000 feet with little snow in the valleys. He says conditions are ideal for stockmen providing winter grazing in lowlands and snow for mountain water. Valleys’ stock are promising through winter and will be in good shape for spring transfer to the forest.
