Odessa school district invites bids to construct two school houses on the sites of old buildings. Each bid must be for a separate building, sealed and marked Bids for Building School Houses, with $200 certified check per bid. Opening set for October 1 1917 at 2 40 pm at School House No. 2. Plans available at the clerk’s home or county superintendent of schools.

County Board Minutes Open Public Genies and Coal Purchase
On August 28 1917 the county board met with all members present and appointed Richardson Lee Weber and Dulleaume to investigate reads in township 132 75. Petitions from residents in Linton and Strasbure for public genses were laid over for consideration at the October meeting. No bids were received for 80 tons of dense coal, and the auditor was instructed to buy the cheapest lignite coal for winter. The board adjourned to 9:00 AM August 29, 1917.
