Tragic accident near Hazelton claims young Donald Bauer

In Hazelton area last Sunday F J Bauer and his two young sons ride in a buggy with a hired man. A kick by the family mare strikes three year old Donald Bauer on the temple, killing him instantly. The body is sent to Winona Minnesota for interment with sympathy from Emmons county residents who recall the excursion trip of last summer.

The Eighth Legislative Assembly approves a proposed amendment to section 162 of the North Dakota Constitution. It directs that the permanent school fund and other educational funds be invested only in specified bonds and farm land mortgages within the state, with mortgages not exceeding one third of the subdivision value as appraised.

In County Court before Judge C. Rowerdink the estate of Jedidiah Wescott is in probate. M A Armstrong petitions to admit the will to proof and seeks issuance of letters testamentary.
