Jacob Allen a prominent Lemmon stock dealer and businessman died of pneumonia in Hyshem Montana at age 52. He left for Hyshem for cattle business, fell ill, and died with his wife and daughter Sophie present. Burial will be in Holland Michigan. He leaves his parents wife two children and six sisters. He was known for honesty generosity and strong church support. The Lemmon Tribune recalls his charitable acts and business leadership.

Mrs A R Gilman died November 12 1918 at her mother Mrs George Whalen s home from pneumonia after influenza. Born January 11 1890 in Emmons County she was 28 years 10 months 3 days old.
