Elmer A. Anderson, Co. Director urges Emmons county to raise about 12000 dollars for the United War Work Campaign. He calls for house to house canvassing in towns and rural districts and asks contributors to remit even if absent during solicitor visits.
Inez Florence Walker wife of Rob ert Buchanan Jr born November 13 1896 in Braddock North Dakota lived most of her life in Emmons county. She taught in Emmons county for four years and married Robt Buchanan Jr on June 27 1918. She was buried November 27 at Glencoe cemetery. She was the oldest granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Braddock long time Emmons county residents now of Minneapolis. Rev Posthwaite of Bismarck spoke at the cemetery.
Frances Petrie wed Hans Hanson at the bride’s mother home in Linton on Saturday at 8:30 PM. Rev. S. M. Sawney officiated. sister Laura Petrie and Fred Petrie attended. A three course dinner followed. couple to reside on Hans Hanson’s farm near Linton. The event marked the anniversary of the bride’s parents’ wedding.
Arthur Heinrich was absent Friday morning and Miss Macnider was unable to teach Monday. Clara Casey resumed duties, new students joined several classes, and Verda Fogle switched to economics from geometry.
