Tarvey Harr Real Estate and Loan Broker seeks warrants for sale or collection of a debt. Filed claim lists financing terms and a requested amount around five thousand dollars. Court action authorized by local ordinance seeks recovery and assignment of property interests.
Emmonsburg correspondent for the Record reveals a heated dispute between the Recoup Lancet and the Winona Times over accusations of fraudulent voting and county division schemes. The piece defends local settlers, questions the Times editor's motives, and calls for accountability while defending honest journalism and old settlers' interests.
Glencoe notes a rain on Thursday night and updates from the Reconp Genéos correspondence. The Ladies Sowing Society will meet at A R Bates's Thursday next. J A Miller improves his claim with granary work. Mr Magoffin of Westport Dak passes through heading to Bismarck to locate there. Mr Maxwell to erect log houses. Mr H to assist with smithy business. Farmers hauling from Brock's place ten miles from Williamsport road. Sunday-school Superintendent Stottler shows growing attendance. James Kerr, of Diemarck, reports six fat stots which compare with any stall-fed cattle. Last season, steers fattened on hay for six weeks.
Sheriff Wade visits town and Frank Frisby, a Bismarck druggist, advertises liver pills and paint. local merchants, farmers, and residents appear in a dense column noting sales, carriages, housing, and upcoming meetings. Records recall early 1870s transport, elections, Temperance Society events, and nonresident landowners Mr Worst and Mr Shelly.
A Sunday service at the school house featured Mr. Worst’s ironic sermon on St. James. He warned against neighbors’ gossip and feigned meekness masking jealousy. Another service is set for November 14.

A marriage occurred at the residence of Mr. George East on Wednesday October 28 1866 with Justice of the Peace A M Wellst performing the ceremony Bilas B Hyder and Miss Paulina Black both of Gayton Township Emmons County DalI were the couple.
