Petitions circulate in Linton to relocate the post office from the old frame building north of Smith and Irvine to the former First Bank of Linton building. Officials negotiated with Washington, agreeing to rent the front part of the new site at a government acceptable rate. S E Brindle traveled to Mandan to visit daughter Carrie, who is training as a nurse. Carrie returned home with him after finishing her course. The weather caused road trouble hindering a trip to Ft Yates for the local ball team and a Klabunde store tank leak led to 400 gallons of gasoline in the basement prompting quick action to prevent explosion.
