Linton beat Strasburg 7 0 in seven innings on Thursday then won 7 6 on Sunday. The Standing Rock Indian Band performed in the Fort Yates boarding school dining room last evening with ice cream served after. A successful Friday basket social and dance benefited the Fort Yates Base Ball team. Asa Littlecrow visited Bullhead. Dan Howard moved to become Agency janitor and lead the Standing Rock Indian Band for summer practice. Frank Fiske awaits Chicago news on a trip and writes a Sioux history manuscript. Nearby settlers inspected Standing Rock reservation land open for homestead entry ahead of May 19 filings and a post entry drawing if multiple applications exist.

The Post Office Department orders Temvik Route No 2 established around June 16 serving areas west and south of Temvik along a 30 mile road. It will cover Sand Creek and parts of Hartford and Emmonsburg, aiding Mail for Lawler Busby Brooks Mausehund McLean and nearby families. Emmonsburg residents formerly served by Linton gain mail access as north county routes expand.
