Under section 751 of the Revised Codes a teachers institute will be held in the school house at Linton North Dakota beginning 9am Monday June 12 and ending Friday evening June 16 1906 Prof Berg of Larimore will be conductor assisted by Miss Sara L Roberts of Valley City All teachers or those seeking to teach in the county are urged to attend Linton ND May 19 1905 Charles Coventry County Superintendent

Attendance at Institutes Ties to Teaching Certificates Inscribed

Long obsolete state code imposes duties on county superintendents to notify teachers of institute times and places ten days prior, require attendance with school closure and four days of participation, and allows revocation or withholding of certificates for nonattendance or inefficiency, with carve-out for city teachers under special law.
