Emmons county caucus elected six delegates to the district Steele convention at Williamsport. D. R. Streeter was named permanent chairman E. T. Herrick permanent secretary and a credentials committee including C A Hickle H D Connor and L T Buckley reported seats for many townships. Delegates Wade Bumstead Baker Herrick Armstrong Worst Kelly and Streeter were nominated with final ballots declaring Streeter Bumstead Wade Baker elected.

Centennial Exercises Observed for Washington Inauguration

Winchester May 1. The centennial anniversary of Washingtons inauguration marked by a gubernatorial proclamation. Program included patriotic songs by Miss Gril and schoolchildren, Bible reading and prayer by Rev A J Garry, proclamation reading Gustave Herbels, address by Rev John Parker, recitations by two girls, reading of Washingtons Coronation, war story by Mr. Corbin, a short chairman's speech and the National Anthem.
