A new North Dakota food program urges wheatless days and meatless meals to conserve resources for the war. Observers are told to avoid bread crackers pastries and breakfast foods containing wheat and to have one wheatless meal daily while allowing mutton and lamb on meatless days.
J H Reamer of Linton will establish state headquarters here for Maxfer truck attachments enabling conversion of Ford and other used cars into first class trucks. He'll oversee sales in the state while maintaining real estate and farming in Emmons county. Reamer plans to open around April 1 and has arranged a Bismarck location after spending winter in the south.
More than ninety percent of United States troops carry insurance with over 11 billion dollars of war risk coverage for 15 million personnel. The average policy is about 9 thousand dollars, with 1 thousand to 10 thousand limits. New enlistees may apply within 120 days after joining. automatic insurance ended February 12.
