Flu Claims 10000 in North Dakota

Dr. C J McCurren of the state health board reports about 6000 North Dakotans fell ill with Spanish influenza in the seven weeks ending November 29. He said he had not received full reports and expected total fatalities near 10000.

A neighborhood dinner will be served at Omio church on Saturday December 28 with a talk by the County Agent and displays of corn and garden vegetables by the Farmers Union postponed from December 14. Dinner at 12 30 no charge. An oil stove provided to serve hot vegetables. Mrs E Lloyds daughter was ill this week. B F Palmers sale held last week Tuesday despite bad weather. influenza affected many Maine and Omio families but most are recovering. Miss Ethel Spriggle remains ill but steady progress. A surprise party for Mr and Mrs Hansa Hanson last Friday night.
