Disastrous Pollock Fire Wounds Gordon Family

A severe house fire at the Gordon home in Pollock, begun near a cook stove, left Mrs Gordon and four boys badly burned while one child, Stanley, escaped severely burned. The family was hospitalized. fire crews and nurses aided the victims as insurance lapsed on the home.

Col W I Tuttle Wins Twenty sixth District Seat

In North Dakota the late election saw Col W I Tuttle elected to the legislative assembly for the Twenty sixth district comprising Kidder and Emmons. Tuttle, once from Chicago, moved to Dawson in 1905 and later ran twice for the legislature. After a tie voided the first result a second vote gave him a comfortable margin and a certificate of election was issued by the canvassing board. A friendly contest was filed by one of the rivals Herolz or Storey.
