The 1905 North Dakota act creates a state inspector of weights and measures appointed by the governor for a two year term. It requires a $5000 bond, mandates biannual inspections of weights and scales, sets fee schedules, and outlines penalties for nonconformity or obstruction. Emergency clause approved March 4, 1905.
The Linton home team defeated Herreid in a two-game series on the home diamond last Friday and Saturday. The Friday contest, watched by the Linton Concert Band, opened with two runs by Herreid before Linton rallied to win eight to seven amid errors by the visitors.
Joe Stember anchored the home defense as Linton and Herreid battled to limited long drives. Brady a Herreid third baseman impressed as a top player while Dole Klitz showed speed in left field. Hinning made a sharp catch in center and Weatherby traveled to Hague for Campbell County.
