Prairie fire devastates hay meadows near Hampton

Correspondent reports a major prairie fire started in timber during rain last week, driven by wind to rapid spread. J. B. Guyton's buildings were saved, but hay meadows of S. E. Ryder F. L. Whittier and Guyton suffered great damage. Local scraps and visits to Capital City and Bismarck are noted, with irrigation plans from Horsehead Creek and a pamphlet offer from Northern Pacific Railroad.

Taken Up Cattle At Postoffice Armatreng

Two cows described in a local notice are taken up by the undersigned. One is about ten years old with a white star on its forehead and a stubby tail. the other is red with black streaks. The owner must pay charges and claim them at the post office, Armatreng.
