Death of Thomas Halestrap in Eithinotis County

The death of Thomas Halestrap, born 1848 in Haddam England, occurred on March 27 last. He came to Canada with his wife Mary Ann Clark and daughter, later settled in Eithinotis County. Injuries from a hayloft fall in 1904 left him crippled, and fresh injuries in April worsened his condition until his death after months of helplessness. He was a devoted husband and father, with a son Frank McConville and a daughter in Fort Yates Council district, and a neighborly figure to the community.
