From Commissioner Dunlap Hunon April 14 a Dakota Immigration and Statistics official sends greetings to Emmons County Record editor Mr D R Streeter. He notes March bulletin publishing Emmons County article and asks for extra copies and circulars of the local immigration society. He expects a large immigration year and mentions many inquiries about the area.
The United States land office posted proposals for surveying in Emmons County including township 182 ranges 72 78 74 75 76 78 and other townships nine more townships listed with ranges 75 76 79 77 78 79. Bids due by May 11. Col E M Brown awarded Fort Rice reservation survey. Rev H D Brown's claim for surveying nine Emmons townships was rejected and work will be redone per the invitation.
