Senate Passes Administration Railroad Bill In Vote Of 50 to 12
Washington June 4 the senate approved the administration railroad bill after a long debate. Only twelve Democrats voted against. The measure, shaped by Attorney General Wickersham and White House conferences, excludes pooling and mergers and includes a court of commerce. An amendment by La Follette to bar any railroad stock owner from serving as a judge failed 29 to 22.
