Injury to lad's head triggers insanity in Lorain case
Fourteen year old Robert McCartney, son of a Lorain family, acted wildly and attempted to flee during a probate hearing. Humane Agent John Sharp described the boy's head injury and subsequent strange behavior. He has no restraint or fear and was saved from traffic by motormen. He will be to state institution for feeble minded youth after proper papers are filed.

City to Sell 63000 Bonds for Middle Avenue Improvement
The city will sell refunding bonds worth 63000 at the city building on Monday to fund Middle avenue improvements. New Schedule Aims to Improve Cleveland Southwestern Service
The Cleveland Southwestern railroad will adjust its timetable after Sept 26 to ease delays. City Rejects $2500 Reduction in Asphalt Bill
The Asphalt Paying Co. sought a $2500 cut for paying Eaat Avenue work completed in 1902. The city board refused the proposal and the company now offers to reduce its bill to 914,000 with interest about $600 from the contract date. The balance would fund Barber Asphalt and Paying Co. to repair the job. A Koeyska plant will operate mid October with output goals of 108,000 daily and 40,000 daily from Koeyska machines.

Trusts Forges Out Bids For Cast Iron Pipe Purchase
The Board of Public Service received a single bid for cast iron pipe and fittings for Loch Street Water Main from United Iron Pipe and Foundry Co at 23 dollars per ton for 4000 feet plus 2.75 cents per pound for fittings. The board adopted a resolution to hold Cleveland and Southwestern Traction Co. responsible for damages to water pipes caused by electrolysis and authorized the water works superintendent to insure pumps at the Ike station if needed. The city engineer was told to study a proposed Middle Avenue water course change and report, while the water works superintendent was asked to estimate the cost of laying mains in the Dallas field allotment.
