The Young Men's Republican club will meet in the council rooms at 7 30 this evening. Base business comes before the meeting and all members are urged to attend. Elyria Telephone is distributing tile along underground cable courses and work to place the cable underground will begin soon.

Hi Henrys Big City Minstrel troupe of fifty white performers performs at Elyria Opera House on Thursday with a noon parade and a New York star, J Jackson. The show features special sets and a costly St Bernard valued at 5000 dollars. Night concert seats available at Dykeman s drug store. The grand jury inspected the Roichtin premises in Lorain but found no new information.
The Reporter publishes Senator Chamberlain denial of any meeting or alliance with CM Gardiner linked to the Washington Insurance Union affair. He states he has no knowledge of Gardiner or his actions and was never asked to join or hold a position. The note aims to clear his name amid arrest warrants and official warnings.

Praddock of Fredericktown Ohio who studied at Oberlin Business College went to Elyria last Monday to accept a position with Fay Stocking Company, after a recommendation from the college.
The Norwalk conference released pastor assignments across Cleveland Lorain Oberlin and Wellington districts. Reeder Adbury and others receive roles with Penfield Pittsfield Kipton and Wellington listed as to be supplied. Endly, longtime ME church sister, becomes president of the Sanctuary district.
Ralph O Shipman of Lorain Steel marries Belle Farrar of Oberlin in Canton Ohio. The ceremony was performed by Rev. O M Haines. The couple returned to Elyria and will reside here.
Rev P A Baker state superintendent of the Anti Saloon League announces Oberlin will organize a Lincoln League on October 31 and 22. The campaign centers on pledge signing with red pledges for abstaining for a term white pledges for lifelong abstinence and blue pledges from children not to drink alcoholic implants until age twenty one.
The O and 8 W plans to switch from half hour to hourly service around October 18. Good fall weather may push the date past October 15, but delays are unlikely. Suburban roads have prospered this summer with continued high business. School opening and migration back to the city slightly reduced road traffic in September. Scheduling difficulty during icy months drives the change.

At the Board of Public Service meeting on Monday a reading of a petition from Fourth Street property owners asked to postpone paving until spring. The petition was granted and placed on file. Bids for Fourth Street paving were presented. A resolution accepted the bid of Schultz Snow and Eason for Second Street paving with asphalt block. The clerk was instructed to obtain prices on water pipes and fittings for Middle Avenue and other streets.
The corner stone for the new Hungarian church at South Lorain will be laid next Sunday afternoon. The church is being built by Rudolph Plandt of this city. Four Indies and four gentlemen will be paid $18 per week. Call at Room 82 Hotel Topliff.
May Davis sues John Davia for divorce alimony and child custody of a 9 year old. Lulu M Jaycox seeks divorce from Lewis H Jaycox with custody of two minor children. Accusations include failure to provide and cruelty. Names of other individuals appear in fragmentary notices with ages and occupations.
A long procession of 108 new Union Pacific parlor cars, pulled by two engines, stretched over a mile as it rolled through Elyria on Sunday drawing many onlookers. Myre Squire hosted friends from Elyria Thursday. Mr Kuype returned to Ridge duties Sunday. Mrs T Grills remains confined by rheumatism. Mr WC Sutliff visited brother O H Sutliff. Mr Miller returned to Cleveland duties.
A late shore electric car traveling westbound jumped the track at the undergrads crossing three miles west of Lorain and rammed the Nickel Plate bridge abutment. Motorman Van Sick and Conductor Brennan were injured. passengers John and Martin Hensen of Detroit street Cleveland sustained head cuts and internal injuries. Brennan left for Sandusky. headlights failure and disorientation blamed for excessive speed and derailment.
