Beach Park reports say Peter Pitts became insane after loving a neighboring farmer’s daughter who did not return his affection. He grew jealous as rivals appeared, bought a revolver, fired at the girl through a window, burned the home, then shot at fleeing occupants. Pitts died and was buried at French Creek Catholic cemetery yesterday.
