Memorial organ planned for Chautauqua amphitheater
Chautauqua will place a fine memorial organ in the amphitheater funded by D Massey of Toronto in memory of H A Massey, with Chancellor J H Vincent noting the gift. Mrs S C Butler of Ridgeville and W M Dellafield visited local offices, while Elyria defeated Connell at Athletic Park 3 to 2 aided by Cosma and Hunter pitching.

Townsend Baer wedding set for Chippewa Lake
The C. and W. Traction Co. will run special cars to the Townsend Baer wedding at Chippewa Lake on Tuesday evening September 11. Cars will depart Elyria at 5 p.m. and return whenever guests wish. Tin fruit jars cost 35 cents a dozen. H. GC. Harris and family, after two months in Linwood Park Vermillion, return to Elyria tomorrow.

Infant Struck by Street Car Near Oberlin Area
A seventeen month old child playing near Daniel Gibbs residence between this city and Oberlin was struck by a C and E car but suffered only a scalp wound and minor bruises. The mother had died recently and the child is under Gibbs family care with its grandmother watching. The motorman slowed the car in time, preventing a worse injury.

Boarder Fined for Assault and Battery in Lorain
John Vertig, a boarding house boarder in Lorain, was fined $25 and costs by Justice Lord on a Tuesday morning for assault and battery on fellow boarder Andy Cordin. Evidence shows Vertig has run the house and allegedly forced the proprietor to sleep in the woodshed after a drunken carousal. Cordin testified Vertig ordered him to drink more and then beat him when he refused.

The Yankee Consul to Play at Elyria Theatre
