Ohio Sailor Slept Beside Dead Woman
New York report says Clinton C. Clark a 11 year old sailor on the battleship Indiana was found asleep on the grass near a dead woman in Riverside Park. A coroner’s autopsy indicated murder with broken ribs and shoulder bruises. Clark claimed drunkenness and memory loss about the woman. He enlisted in Columbus Ohio two years ago.

Foot in shoe uncovers tragic find in Kentucky woods
In Glasgow Kentucky on October 30 a man's body was found 50 yards from a road, with skull bones and clothing, a watch and pocket book, and money. The papers inside the pocket book identified the deceased as Payne, a 50 year old widower who had left home weeks earlier to visit Warren County. A tree struck by lightning nearby and a dog dragging a foot were noted during the investigation as authorities sought to confirm the identity while a local almanac publisher advertised a 1907 almanac.
