The Masonic fraternity of Lorain County dedicated a new temple with a large gathering of Masons from across the county. Grand Lodge of Ohio officers presided as King Solomon's Lodge at Elyria hosted the ceremony with a banquet and music from Cleveland Temple Quartette.

Hiram H Forbes the infirmary director indicted by a spring grand jury has been relieved from all charges by a formal nolo contendere entry by Prosecutor Stevens. Only one count remains. courts ruled the directors were entitled to use the funds and that funds used were not county funds. The grand jury had not considered the case.

The case is bound over for grand jury with potential release on good behavior. Also notes the death of Mrs Saras D Miller, cousin of President McKinley, from heart disease in Cleveland.
