Dr Sheffield Horse Accident Near Town

Dr Henry Sheffield met with a peculiar accident Tuesday morning along Lake avenue about eight miles north of town. His horse stumbled on a stone, the stone rolled, throwing the horse and injuring him badly. Bridestone, Lake Shore Detectives Chief, Dies at 9

Bridestone, chief of the Lake Shore detectives division, died of consumption about 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of his stepson Fred Brown in West Geneva. He served in the detective service for 30 years and led the Lake Shore thieves pursuit between Elyria and North Amherst for years. He leaves a widow and two children.

Lorain Men Sentenced to Cleveland Workhouse for Assault

The common pleas jury heard assault cases against Mike Pergel and Mike Bihera of Lorain. They assaulted Paul Sokal as he came home from work. Each was sentenced to ten days in the Cleveland workhouse and fined $25 plus costs.

Avon plans to gain an industry by relocating Purity Bottling Co. to the lake shore near Cincinnati to be near grape supply.
