Memorial services draw large crowd in Elyria

An eighteen year old colored girl from Ghertin, Elyria, faced the mayor Monday for intoxication. She was fined 5 dollars and costs after pleading on her knees to avoid jail. She had created a disturbance Saturday night, struggled with officers, then spent Sunday in jail. She previously gave money to Charles Neveile who bought liquor and fled. he was later arrested for intoxication and fined. Also fined by the mayor for intoxication were James Brighton, Thomas Moran, and August Myers.

Lytle Escape Highlighted After Petit Larceny Case
