Arbitration scheme to be presented at Hague conference
Washington May 10 United States and Great Britain back arbitration as the method to settle international disputes. The plan, to be unveiled at the Hague Disarmament Conference on May 16, differs mainly in securing impartial adjudication. Delegates expect only seed for future success, not immediate adoption, while insisting the United States armaments remain below European powers’ minimums.

Street duel ends with four killed in Okelona
A violent street fight in Okelona Mississippi on May 16 left four dead after Dr J Murfee and son Howard faced C L Clark and W F Clark. Clark killed Murfee and Howard. Walter Clark mortally wounded Clark and later died. Clark and Murfee residences were scene. The dispute arose from a medical bill, knife wounds, and gunfire.
