Largest steer ever seen in Elyria weighed 1650 pounds

Jerome Hance of Haton township brought a drove of fat cattle to Elyria last week and sold a steer that weighed exactly 1650 pounds for $82. The notable animal stood out as one of the heaviest judged on the scales in the area.

Death of George Raymond in Lorain hospital

George Raymond died at Lorain hospital on Monday at two o'clock after severe injuries at the steel plant the previous week. Funeral arrangements were not yet made. Mrs. ML Wallace of Lorain was a visitor in this city on Monday. J Berg of Oberlin spent yesterday in this city. Fred Emery of Newburg New York was in town on business Monday. Miss N Hastings returned Monday night from a two day visit in La Grange.
