Two women on the Hast side told police on Tuesday morning three men fought on the Lake Shore track. One man was stabbed Monday night and left on the ground. Officers searched the East yards and found only blood traces on ties. the wounded man was missing. The other two men fled into the woods and were later released after no charges could be proven.
Louise Northime of North Amherst died after declining medical care due to Christian Science beliefs. A Worden practitioner from Lorain treated her as she worsened, remained unconscious for days, and a postmortem exam was to be held with results to the coroner. Funeral rites for Arthur Reublin noted for Elyria Elks members. A guardian filed for a loan order to sell lands to reinvest funds, and Flora Rahill was appointed guardian for three minors with bond under $150.
J Hall of George Street bought a land tract east of old Turnee's mill southwest of town near the Elyria Iron and Steel Co works and the Cleveland and Southwestern electric railway line. The Rothgery property plus the house shop site and the flat iron piece to the east are included. No plat is planned yet. Hall intends to erect several houses on the site.
Moses Beal erects a 70 by 80 foot factory for his patent core drill on Lodi street near the Loop Saloon, on land formerly owned by Kuebler Stang Brewing Co. The plant, expected active in ninety days, will employ several men and supply contract work across six states, marketed as a band made drilling tool for prospecting.

Anti Saloon league forms and outlines future actions. Ice industry notes and new local schedule due to scarce ice, with updated rates from the Lorain Elyria Ice Co.

One of the floating gentry known as trinumpe drifted into town on Monday and lodged with police. Michael Short, the grand old man of the Lake Shore, is a diminutive figure with eight crooked nose marks. He is described as gailor by trade and tramp by profession. He has visited three times this year and plans to go to Lorain for work. Despite being a tramp, Short is well known to police and considered a pleasant, non-disorderly guest.

It includes endorsements from Rev Aaron Coons and claims of vegetable safety, no narcotics, and no constipation, with pricing details and a mail order offer.
